Javier Mendoza is a former Warner-Chappell Latin writer. He has written songs for Latin artists Juan David, Carlos Robles, Enrique Iglesias, and Rosario. Javier is a Spanish/American singer songwriter who has independently sold over 50,000 albums and has received many honors including "Best Solo Artist," "Best Male Vocalist" & "Best Pop Artist" by the Riverfront Times Music Awards. He has also shared the stage with Willie Nelson, Los Lobos, The Roots, Ben Folds, Santana, Idina Menzel and more.

"Estereotipo" is his newest side project. Mendoza has put together a crème de la crème St. Louis Latin Jazz ensemble featuring renown jazz artist Dave Black on guitar, Marc Torlina (Peter Mayer) on bass and R. Scott Bryan (Sheryl Crow, Peter Mayer) on percussion. The group also includes the magnificent Pete Ruthenburg on piano and drummer extraordinaire Grover Stewart (Additional horn section may also be included in certain performances). Javier Mendoza fronts this high energy, can't stay in your seat ensemble, and performs songs written and arranged specifically for this Latin Jazz group.
